Overlapping Coalition Formation for Efficient Data Fusion in Multi-Sensor Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper develops new algorithms for coalition formation within multi-sensor networks tasked with performing wide-area surveillance. Specifically, we cast this application as an instance of coalition formation, with overlapping coalitions. We show that

The development of an autonomous navigation system with optimal control of an UAV in partly unknown indoor environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper presents an autonomous methodology for a low-cost commercial AR.Drone 2.0 in partly unknown indoor flight using only on-board visual and internal sensing. Novelty lies in: (i) the development of a position estimation method using sensor fusion

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Automated Synchronization of Driving Data Using Vibration and Steering Events

open access: yes, 2016
We propose a method for automated synchronization of vehicle sensors useful for the study of multi-modal driver behavior and for the design of advanced driver assistance systems. Multi-sensor decision fusion relies on synchronized data streams in (1) the

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

FS-DS based Multi-sensor Data Fusion

open access: yesJournal of Software, 2013
considering the problem of the uncertainty of data in information gathering system, a multi-sensor information fusion method based on fuzzy set and evidence theory (FS-DS) is proposed . The fuzzy support probability of the uncertain information is defined by making using of the correlation function , Then it is received the ...

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...
