Federated Learning Assisted Multi-UAV Networks [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2020
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been recognized as a promising technology to be used in a wide range of civilian, public and military applications. However, given their limited payload and flight time, multiple UAVs may have to be harnessed for accomplishing complex high-level tasks, where a control center can be employed for coordinating their ...

Optimal Multi-UAV Convoy Protection [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Robotic Communication and Coordination, 2009
In this paper, we study time-optimal trajectories for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to provide convoy protection to a group of stationary ground vehicles. The UAVs are modelled as Dubins vehicles flying at a constant altitude. Due to kinematic constraints of the UAVs, it is not possible for a single UAV to provide convoy protection indefinitely.

Co-Evolutionary Algorithm-Based Multi-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Cooperative Path Planning

open access: yesDrones, 2023
Multi-UAV cooperative path planning is a key technology to carry out multi-UAV tasks, and its research has important practical significance. A multi-UAV cooperative path is a combination of single-UAV paths, so the idea of problem decomposition is ...

Multi‐UAV Factor Graph Colocation Algorithm

open access: yesWireless Communications and Mobile Computing, 2022
To tackle the difficulty and high cost of UAV positioning in a 5G disaster environment, this study proposes a multi‐UAV coordinated positioning algorithm based on a factor graph (MUAV‐FGC). A factor graph model is designed for coordinated positioning of the master‐slave UAVs.
