Tailoring Strength and Corrosion Resistance in Al-Zn-Mg-Cu Alloys by Total (Zn + Mg) Content and Multi-Directional Forging Process. [PDF]
The effects of (Zn + Mg) total content (9.6–11.7 wt.%) combined with multi-directional forging (MDF) on the microstructure and properties of high-strength Al–Zn–Mg–Cu alloys were systematically investigated.

Tribological Characterization of Commercial Pure Titanium Processed by Multi-Directional Forging [PDF]
This work discusses tribological properties of commercial pure (CP) titanium processed by multi-directional forging (MDF) up to six passes at room temperature and 220 °C. For this purpose, wear test was conducted by dry sliding pin-on-disk method on the initial and ultrafine grained samples using different stress magnitudes of 1, 1.5 and 2 MPa.

Mechanical properties of Al-9Si-0.6Mg-0.1Sr alloy processed by successive hot and cold multi-directional forging [PDF]
In this study, the effect of successive hot and cold multi-directional forging (MDF) on the mechanical properties of the Al-9Si-0.6Mg-0.1Sr alloy was explored. The alloy was first homogenized and then forged at 200°C from 3 to 15 passes. After each three

The effect of initial strain in the severe plastic deformation of aluminum on the subsequent work hardening regeneration through low strain amplitude multi-directional forging [PDF]
Work hardening caused by Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) strengthens ductile metals remarkably but practically annihilates their further work hardening during monotonic post-SPD deformation. Low Strain Amplitude Multi-Directional Forging (LSA-MDF) after

Direct Regioselective para‐Fluorination via I(I)/I(III) Catalysis
A direct, para‐selective fluorination by I(I)/I(III) catalysis is disclosed that does not require substrate pre‐functionalization. This strategy leverages the Leonard link inherent to phenylpropanoate and phenylpropanamides to promote a spirocyclization/para‐selective sequence. The C3‐side chain maps onto a range of common drug scaffolds and allows the
