ABSTRACT By exploiting the stress‐driven model, within the Euler–Bernoulli beam theory, a novel nonlocal analytical model is proposed in order to simulate the mechanical behavior of multiple edge–cracked nanobeams by taking into account the multiple cracks effects.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Transient response of a finite plate with multiple cracks
[[abstract]]The Laplace finite element alternating procedure developed by the authors is applied to the transient response of a finite plate containing multiple edge cracks with different lengths/positions/orientations.

Comparative Study on Pulse Current Repair of Multi⁃Cracked High⁃Pressure Elbows
Affected by environmental corrosion, internal load impact and thermal processing defects, high-pressure elbows develop micro-cracks, often appearing as multiple cracks with highly random distributions, which puts forward higher requirements for the pulse

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Multi-axial fatigue numerical crack propagations in cruciform specimens
Two cracks, initiated from the opposite tips of a central notch inclined by 45䒰, were considered in cruciform specimens made of Ti6246. A static load was applied to a cruciform arm while a cyclic load was applied along the other arm.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Interactive growth of multiple fiber-bridged matrix cracks in unidirectional composites
A model is developed for monotonic and cyclic fiber sliding in a fiber-reinforced composite containing multiple cracks. The model is used to study the fatigue growth of multiple cracks in a matrix reinforced with aligned, continuous fibers, where cracks ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Fracture mechanics analysis of multiple edge cracks [PDF]
This thesis is concerned with the evaluation of crack propagation in the presence of other cracks within the same two-dimensional body. The parameter known as the Stress Intensity Factor (SlF) is used within Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM) to ...
