Programmable Encapsulation Enables On‐Demand Proliferation of Therapeutic Bacteria for Potent Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A programmable encapsulation technology is developed to reduce bacterial immunogenicity and proliferation after systemic administration. The cross‐linked polymer networks around individual bacteria enable immunogenic shielding and permit selective proliferation in tumors, allowing the bacteria to convert tumor‐accumulated ammonia into L‐arginine and ...

Engineering‐Modulated Molybdenum Enzymes Strategy for Tumor‐Specific Metabolic‐Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biodegradable molybdenum sulfide nanoparticles were synthesized via a one‐pot strategy to increase molybdenum enzyme activity and thus effectively potentiate anti‐tumor immunity by integrating molybdenum‐based metalloimmunotherapy with hydrogen sulfide gas therapy.

A Panel of Circulating Exosomal sncRNAs Associated With Lung Cancer Risk up to 10 Years in Advance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lung cancer is often diagnosed too late, and current screening overlooks many people at risk. In a long‐term study of smokers, a panel of small non‐coding RNAs carried in blood exosomes signals elevated lung cancer risk up to ten years before diagnosis, pointing toward a blood‐based tool for earlier risk detection.

Pasta, a Versatile Transcriptomic Clock, Maps the Chemical and Genetic Determinants of Aging and Rejuvenation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pasta is a transcriptomic aging clock built on an age‐shift learning framework and trained on 17 000 samples across 21 datasets. It accurately predicts relative biological age across tissues, platforms, and species, captures stemness‐to‐senescence transitions, and identifies age‐modulatory perturbations.

Modulating Calcium Homeostasis via a Biomimetic Scaffold to Rescue Diabetic Ischemic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This strategy addresses impaired microcirculation and loss of extracellular matrix (ECM) guidance in diabetic wound healing. Musc@CP, a nanofibrous dressing combining an ECM‐mimetic chitosan‐pullulan scaffold with muscone, enhances perfusion by attenuating intracellular Ca2+ overload‐associated endothelial dysfunction.

Engineering a 660 nm‐Responsive Optogenetic Inducer of Pyroptosis for Precision Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports a bioorthogonal pyroptosis inducer, PyroRACS. By using a red‐light‐responsive Cre‐On genetic switch to control the expression of highly cytotoxic GSDMDNT, PyroRACS enables the artificial induction of pyroptosis with precise spatiotemporal control.

Multiple Primary Lung Cancers

The Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon, 1994
Between 1970 and 1990, of 1287 patients undergoing resection for primary lung cancer, we considered 55 (4.3%) to have a second primary lung cancer, being synchronous in 15 cases (1.2%) and metachronous in 40 (3.1%). Two patients had a third primary lung cancer.

Multiple Primary Lung Cancers

Chest, 1987
From November 1957 to June 1984 at Shanghai Chest Hospital, 30 cases of multiple primary lung cancers were confirmed, based on clinical characteristics, diagnostic process, histologic type, treatment, and prognosis. Out of 3,815 cases of resected primary lung cancer, the incidence of multiple primary lung cancers was 0.8 percent.
