Existence and multiplicity of solutions for nonhomogeneous Klein-Gordon-Maxwell equations
This article concerns the nonhomogeneous Klein-Gordon-Maxwell equation $$\displaylines{ -\Delta u+u-(2\omega +\phi)\phi u=|u|^{p-1}u +h(x), \quad\text{in }\mathbb{R}^3,\cr \Delta \phi=(\omega +\phi)u^2,\quad\text{in }\mathbb{R}^3, }$$ where ...

Convergence of the newton process to multiple solutions
In 1870, E.Schroder showed that the convergence of the Newton process of successive approximations to a multiple solution of a scalar equation was geometric in character, and that quadratic convergence could be restored by multiplying the ordinary corrections by a constant.

Existence of nontrivial solutions for singular quasilinear equations with sign changing nonlinearity
By an application of Bonanno's three critical point theorem, we establish the existence of a nontrivial solution to the problem $$displaylines{ -Delta_p u= mu frac{g(x)|u|^{p-2}u}{|x|^p} +lambda a(x)f(u) quad hbox{in }Omega,cr u =0quad hbox{on ...

ABSTRACT Background Although significant progress has been made in childhood leukemia survival, healthcare providers, and caregivers often face challenges in explaining this disease to patients. Disease‐targeted storybooks have been proposed as a tool to facilitate the understanding of diagnoses and treatment.

Multiple solutions for a class of degenerate nonlocal problems involving sublinear nonlinearities
In this article, we use the three critical points theorem by G. Bonanno [3] in order to investigate the multiplicity of solutions for some nonlocal degenerate problems.

ABSTRACT Background Animal‐assisted activities (AAAs) with therapy dogs have shown positive effects on patient well‐being and quality of life in various areas of medicine, including pediatric oncology. However, research on this topic is limited. The aim of this study is to present the current status of AAA in pediatric oncology in Germany, Austria, and

Multiplicity of solutions to the sum of polyharmonic equations with critical Sobolev exponents
In this article, we prove multiplicity of solutions for the sum of polyharmonic equation with critical Sobolev exponent. The proof is based upon the methods of weakly lower semi-continuous of the functionals and the Mountain Pass Lemma without (PS ...
