Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Symmetry of Nodal Solutions for Singularly Perturbed Elliptic Problems on a Ball
In [40], it was shown that the following singularly perturbed Dirichlet problem \ep^2 \Delta u - u+ |u|^{p-1} u=0, \ \mbox{in} \ \Om,\] \[ u=0 \ \mbox{on} \ \partial \Om has a nodal solution u_\ep which has the least energy among all nodal solutions.

MULTIPLE OPTIMAL SOLUTIONS IN QUADRATIC PROGRAMMING MODELS [PDF]
The problem of determining whether quadratic programming models possess either unique or multiple optimal solutions is important for empirical analyses which use a mathematical programming framework.

Steady-state solutions for Schrodinger equations in photonic lattice
In this article, we study a nonlinear Schrodinger equation arising in optics. Firstly we prove the existence of multiple solutions of this equation. Secondly, we consider a nonlinear Schrodinger system which is intimately related to the Schrodinger ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Multiple Solutions for a Nonlinear Dirichlet Problem
Summary: The authors prove that a semilinear elliptic boundary value problem has five solutions when the range of the derivative of the nonlinearity includes at least the first two eigenvalues. Extensive use is made of Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction arguments, the mountain pass lemma, and characterizations of the local degree of critical points.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Frequency-hopping/M -ary frequency-shift keying wireless sensor network monitoring multiple source events [PDF]
In this contribution, a novel wireless sensor network (WSN) assisted by M -ary frequency-shift keying (MFSK) modulation and frequency-hopping (FH), referred to as the FH/MFSK WSN, is proposed to monitor multiple source events (SEs).

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
