Multiplication modules and related results [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
summary:Let $R$ be a commutative ring with non-zero identity. Various properties of multiplication modules are considered. We generalize Ohm’s properties for submodules of a finitely generated faithful multiplication $R$-module (see [8], [12] and [3])

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Multiplication in curvature processing

open access: yes, 2009
Multiplication rather than addition of neural signals is believed to underpin a variety of sensory processes, yet the evidence for multiplication is rare.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

The autophagy-related protein PlAtg26b regulates vegetative growth, reproductive processes, autophagy, and pathogenicity in Peronophythora litchii

open access: yesVirulence
Peronophythora litchii is an oomycete pathogen responsible for litchi downy blight, a significant threat to global litchi production. Autophagy, a conserved degradation pathway crucial for the growth, development, and pathogenicity of phytopathogenic ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Light-Dependent Temporal Reprogramming of Alternative Splicing Dynamics Under Salt Stress in Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas [L]. Lam)

open access: yesPlants
Soil salinity is a major constraint on crop productivity, and plants rely on multilayered regulatory mechanisms to adapt to stress. Alternative splicing (AS) enhances transcriptome plasticity, yet how light modulates AS under salt stress remains unclear.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...
