Escin Attenuates Amyloid Beta 1‐42‐Induced Oxidative Stress, Apoptosis, and Neuroinflammation in Neuron‐Like SH‐SY5Y Cells

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 5, May 2026.
This study demonstrates that Escin pretreatment exerts potent neuroprotection against Aβ1‐42‐induced toxicity in differentiated SH‐SY5Y cells. By suppressing the NF‐κB inflammatory axis, mitigating oxidative stress, and inhibiting the apoptotic cascade, Escin provides a mechanistic basis for its potential as a therapeutic candidate for Alzheimer's ...

The Small Molecule H89 Facilitates Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐derived Extracellular Vesicle Release and Optimizes Therapeutic Efficacy in Liver Regeneration

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT The role of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (hUCMSC‐EVs) in liver regeneration is promising, yet their clinical translation is hampered by insufficient production. Current strategies targeting their secretion are inefficient and lack a clear mechanistic understanding.

Whole‐Genome Bisulfite Sequencing Identifies Blood‐Based DNA Methylation Biomarker for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Carcinogenesis, Volume 65, Issue 5, Page 603-614, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Functional DNA methylation abnormalities are a hallmark of human cancers and may be a promising biomarker for their early diagnosis. Moreover, the largest methylation differences can improve the sensitivity of noninvasive diagnoses of solid tumors.

Liver Fibrosis: Molecular Pathogenesis and Therapeutic Interventions

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
We systematically summarized the etiologies, diagnostic approaches, and pathogenic mechanisms of liver fibrosis. Also, the therapeutic interventions for liver fibrosis were systematically classified into two main categories: etiological treatment and mechanism‐based antifibrotic therapies.

Chronic Pain: Epidemiology, Pathophysiology, and Clinical Management

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
The multidimensional nature of chronic pain is illustrated through four interconnected domains. (Left) Epidemiology and Global Burden: Chronic pain affects approximately one in five individuals globally, contributing to a rising trend in disability‐adjusted life years (YLDs) and a significant socioeconomic impact.

ConGen: Targeted Molecule Generation Through Contrastive Learning and Latent Optimization

open access: yesMolecular Informatics, Volume 45, Issue 5, May 2026.
We present ConGen, a novel protein sequence‐conditioned molecule generation model, that combines contrastive protein‐molecule representation learning and latent optimization in a shared pretrained space, enabling de novo, target‐specific design from sequence alone.
