Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Relationship between the sprint and vertical jumps' power in young soccer players [PDF]
Muscle power, speed and acceleration are generally considered important determinants of high performance in sports. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the relationships between 10- and 30-meter sprint power and vertical jump power among young ...

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Effects of simulated kata competition on upper- and lower-body power tests performance
Thirty male senior kata athletes representing the karate styles Shotokan (n=10), Gojuryu (n=10) and Shitoryu (n=10), were recruited to verify their neuromuscular response to a simulated competition comprised of five different successive kata.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.
