Effect of anhydrite on hydration properties of mechanically activated muscovite in the presence of calcium oxide

, 2020
The study of the hydration properties of mechanically activated muscovite (a common mineral phase in mine tailings) was a new subject. In this paper, the effect of natural anhydrite on the hydration properties of calcium oxide-activated muscovite after ...

Anisotropy in muscovite

Nuclear Tracks and Radiation Measurements (1982), 1984
Abstract Anisotropic track registration in muscovite is studied by means of a point-like 252Cf source. Impact distributions are analysed as well as distributions in azimuthal angles. It is found, by comparison with other data, that irradiation from external sources may lead to a pattern of anisotropy that differs from that of inner tracks.

The potential of lithium in alkali feldspars, quartz, and muscovite as a geochemical indicator in the exploration for lithium-rich granitic pegmatites: A case study from the spodumene-rich Moblan pegmatite, Quebec, Canada

Journal of Geochemical Exploration, 2019
The Li concentration of alkali feldspars, quartz, and muscovite from the spodumene-rich Main Sill of the Moblan pegmatite in Quebec, Canada, was used to evaluate the potential of the most common minerals in granitic pegmatites as indicators for the ...

Influence of metal ions on muscovite and calcite flotation: With respect to the pre-treatment of vanadium bearing stone coal

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2019
This work focused on the removal of calcite from the decarburized stone coal using flotation. The influence of Al3+, Fe3+, and Ca2+ on the flotation behavior of muscovite and calcite was studied by micro-flotation experiments, aqueous speciation ...
