UGA is read as tryptophan in Mycoplasma capricolum. [PDF]
UGA is a nonsense or termination (opal) codon throughout prokaryotes and eukaryotes. However, mitochondria use not only UGG but also UGA as a tryptophan codon. Here, we show that UGA also codes for tryptophan in Mycoplasma capricolum, a wall-less bacterium having a genome only 20-25% the size of the Escherichia coli genome.

Characterization of Some Caprine Mycoplasmas, with Proposals for New Species, Mycoplasma capricolum and Mycoplasma putrefaciens [PDF]
SUMMARY: Of a group of unclassified, mostly caprine mycoplasmas, six were antigenically related to one another, possessed similar biochemical and biological properties and were anticenically distinct from all other human and animal Mycoplasmatales. It is proposed that this group of mycoplasmas be established as a new species within the Mycoplasmatales.
