Single-dose modified bloodless del Nido cardioplegia for minimally invasive cardiac surgery
BackgroundRecent studies demonstrated satisfactory results of del Nido cardioplegia in minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS). We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of our modified “bloodless” del Nido cardioplegia in MICS compared to the histidine ...

Myocardial protection by different cold cardioplegic solutions [PDF]
Efficacy of three different solutions for myocardial protection was determined in dogs after 120 minute ischemia. In group I cold cardioplegia and topical hypothermia were performed with Ringer's solution in 9 dogs.

This diagram illustrates that night shift work disrupts circadian clock genes (like CLOCK, BMAL1) in both humans and mice. This disruption leads to mitochondrial dysfunction (imbalanced fusion/fission proteins) and increased oxidative stress, which is identified as the primary mechanism ultimately causing elevated blood pressure.

Printable Conductive Hydrogels for Electrochemical Biosensing and Soft Bioelectronic Interfaces
Flexible, conductive hydrogels that integrate printability, mechanical tunability, biocompatibility, and electronic performance remain challenging to achieve. Here, we develop 3D‐printable poly(ethylene glycol)–poly(pyrrole)‐ hydrogels with tissue‐like mechanics, high cytocompatibility, and robust electrochemical function.
