Substratum topography modulates corneal fibroblast to myofibroblast transformation [PDF]
Purpose. The transition of corneal fibroblasts to the myofibroblast phenotype is known to be important in wound healing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of topographic cues on TGFβ-induced myofibroblast transformation of corneal ...

An interpretable, unsupervised artificial intelligence framework identifies a 13‐cellular morphometric biomarker (CMB) signature from routine H&E whole‐slide images. Validated across 2,602 patients, the fixed signature generalizes across colorectal, gastric, and esophageal tissues without retraining, stratifies prognosis and precancerous lesion risk ...

Radiation Induces Pericyte-Myofibroblast Transition.
PURPOSE: Radiation not only kills cancer cells directly through DNA damage but also indirectly by inducing vascular changes. The effects of radiation on tumor vasculature are critical for therapeutic efficacy; however, its impact on pericytes remains ...

LINC00312/YBX1 Axis Regulates Myofibroblast Activities in Oral Submucous Fibrosis
Oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) has been recognized as a precancerous disorder in the oral cavity. Great effort has been made to inhibit the malignant progression of OSF over the past decades, but the cure of this fibrosis disease has not been discovered ...

An enzyme–nitric oxide (NO) co‐regulatory strategy reprograms pathological extracellular matrix (ECM)–fibroblast crosstalk in hypertrophic scars. Enzymatic degradation of pre‐existing ECM relieves aberrant mechanical cues, while NO‐mediated fibroblast phenotypic modulation restrains excessive collagen synthesis.

SerpinA3 acts as an endogenous TGF‐β receptor antagonist that binds to the extracellular domain of TGFR‐1, thereby preventing TGFR‐1–TGFR‐2 complex formation. This receptor‐level blockade suppresses TGF‐β/Smad2/3 signaling, attenuates cardiac fibroblast activation, and extracellular matrix deposition, and ultimately alleviates pressure overload–induced

Signaling in fibrosis: TGF-β, WNT, and YAP/TAZ converge
Chronic organ injury leads to fibrosis and eventually organ failure. Fibrosis is characterized by excessive synthesis, remodeling and contraction of extracellular matrix produced by myofibroblasts.

CAR‐Engineered Cell Therapies Beyond Cancer: Reprogramming Fibrosis and Immune‐Mediated Inflammation
CAR‐engineered cell therapies are expanding beyond cancer toward immune resetting, pathological‐cell clearance, matrix remodeling, and microenvironmental reprogramming in autoimmune, inflammatory, and fibrotic diseases. This Review compares CAR‐T, CAR‐macrophage, and CAR‐NK platforms and proposes controllable spatiotemporal reprogramming to align ...

Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor
Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor is an uncommon lesion of unknown cause. It encompasses a spectrum of myofibroblastic proliferation along with varying amount of inflammatory infiltrate. A number of terms have been applied to the lesion, namely, inflammatory pseudotumor, fibrous xanthoma, plasma cell granuloma, pseudosarcoma, lymphoid hamartoma ...
