T cell response to N-formylated peptides in humans [PDF]
We present the first evidence of a T lymphocyte response to N-formylated peptides in humans. N-formylated peptide sequences from self (mitochondrial) and foreign (microbial) antigens were used to isolate antigen-specific T cell clones from healthy individuals, including a set of monozygotic twins.

Achieving selective (sp3)C–H hydroxylation can streamline the synthesis of complex organic molecules. Biocatalysis presents an opportunity to realize this transformation, however, identifying useful enzymes that enable synthetic strategies can be a challenge due to limitations in enzyme substrate scope.

This work describes the first example of a thermally stable α‐SF5 organometallic reagent, which allows for extensive downstream functionalization by allylation and acylation reactions under copper catalysis, as well as palladium‐catalyzed Negishi‐type cross‐coupling conditions up to 96% yield. In silico analysis shines initial light on the requirements

Dual Genotoxic and Antigenotoxic Effects of 3‐Benzoylcoumarins in Mammalian Cells
ABSTRACT Coumarins are phenolic compounds widely recognized for their diverse pharmacological activities and have attracted increasing attention as potential chemopreventive agents. In the present study, four known 3‐benzoylcoumarin derivatives [(1), (2), (3), and (4)] were evaluated for their cytotoxic, mutagenic, and antigenotoxic effects in Chinese ...

Selective Hydrogenation of Formamide to Methanol Over Supported Platinum Catalysts
Amine–CO2 adducts can be hydrogenated to formamides and subsequently to methanol under mild conditions (<150°C), establishing an integrated CO2 capture‐and‐conversion route in a heterogeneous system that directly links amine sorbent cycling with methanol synthesis.

ABSTRACT The protein sample preparation methods for shotgun proteomics are nowadays well‐established unlike the ones for whole protein analysis. The goal of my work has been to create a simple methodology which provides a single uncomplicated sample preparation tool for these two fields. Nowadays the bulk of proteomics work is done using detergents for

A flow cytometry technique was developed to measure the binding of vancomycin‐formyl peptide conjugates to the surface of resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Binding results indicate that the labelling site of the vancomycin targeting element has a major effect on binding to the bacterial cell wall, which correlates with reduced antibiotic activity ...

The noncovalent conformational locks (NoCLs) strategy modulates molecular aggregation to synergistically enhance NIR‐II absorption, NIR‐IIb emission, and photothermal conversion efficiency (PCE). QCF NPs incorporating both S···O and S···N NoCLs achieve concurrent NIR‐IIb emission (1550 nm) and PCE (75%) under low‐power 1064 nm excitation, establishing ...

A novel synthetic method for three phase I o‐desmethyl NBOMe metabolites bromo‐ (3a) and iodo‐ (13b) and chloro‐ analogue (13c) was developed. LC‐QToF analysis confirmed that the synthetic standards matched the major peaks observed in urine sample screens for each of the respective halogen‐substituted metabolites indicating that the synthesised ...
