We use extreme shear to create a dispersion of nanoscale droplets of silicone oil in an immiscible water phase containing an anionic surfactant sodium dodecylsulfate. Using centrifugal size fractionation, we obtain nanoemulsions having a well-defined average radius of a=75nm.
