Formulation Development and In Vitro/In Vivo Characterization of Methotrexate-Loaded Nanoemulsion Gel Formulations for Enhanced Topical Delivery

open access: yesGels, 2022
Methotrexate-loaded oil-in-water nanoemulsion formulations were prepared using the high shear homogenization technique. A drug excipient study (ATR-FTIR) was carried out to investigate the compatibility between the drug, the polymers, and its admixtures.

Preparation and Characterization of Emulsion-Based Fucoidan-Whey Protein Film Activated With Geranium Essential Oil for Food Applications. [PDF]

open access: yesFood Sci Nutr
The geranium essential oil (EO) nanoemulsion was incorporated into fucoidan‐whey protein film. Active fucoidan‐whey protein film showed higher mechanical, antioxidant, and water barrier properties. Fucoidan‐whey protein film loaded with geranium EO nanoemulsion exhibited antimicrobial and antifungal activities.
