Nanozymes for Treating Ocular Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials
Abstract Nanozymes, characterized by their nanoscale size and enzyme‐like catalytic activities, exhibit diverse therapeutic potentials, including anti‐oxidative, anti‐inflammatory, anti‐microbial, and anti‐angiogenic effects. These properties make them highly valuable in nanomedicine, particularly ocular therapy, bypassing the need ...

D4F‐Functionalized Ceria Nanozyme‐CasRx Platform Suppresses STING and Reprograms the Renal Immune Niche in Acute Kidney Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
D4F‐functionalized ceria nanozyme–CasRx nanoparticles preferentially target renal macrophages through SR‐B1‐mediated uptake in ischemia–reperfusion injury. Ceria scavenges excessive ROS, while CasRx silences STING signaling, shifting macrophages toward a less inflammatory, pro‐resolving state and increasing the proportion of regulatory T cells.

Elucidating the catalytic mechanism of Prussian blue nanozymes with self-increasing catalytic activity

open access: yesNature Communications
Although Prussian blue nanozymes (PBNZ) are widely applied in various fields, their catalytic mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we investigate the long-term catalytic performance of PBNZ as peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT) mimetics to elucidate their ...

Strain Effect in Palladium Nanostructures as Nanozymes

open access: yes, 2019
While various effects of physicochemical parameters (e.g., size, facet, composition, and internal structure) on the catalytic efficiency of nanozymes (i.e., nanoscale enzyme mimics) have been studied, the strain effect has never been reported and ...

Axial Boron Coordination Reconstructs Stereostructure of Cu Single‐Atom Nanozymes for Efficient Water‐Phase Chemical Sensing

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Sun et al. proposed an axial boron coordination strategy to reconstruct the stereostructure of Cu SAzymes and enable them to serve as efficient laccase mimics for high‐throughput smart sensor array detection of phenolic pollutants in water phases. ABSTRACT Developing single‐atom nanozymes with stereoconfigurations is a new paradigm for biomimetic ...
