Production and Formulation of Alcanivorax borkumensis SK2 Cell Powders for Marine Oil Spill Bioremediation

open access: yesBiotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, EarlyView.
Abstract Oil spills pose severe threats to marine ecosystems and coastal communities. Alcanivorax borkumensis SK2, a marine bacterium with superior hydrocarbon‐degrading capabilities, emerges as a promising agent for bioremediation. This study identified an economical growth substrate for A.

Potential contribution of biomass gasification‐based technology in energy transition: a technical review coupled with bibliometric studies

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract Biomass gasification technology has been extensively researched around the world; however, there is a need to evaluate the current research landscape and evolutionary direction of research in the broader context of energy transition. A systematic bibliometric analysis of the Web of Science database was performed for articles that fall within ...

Synthesis and Characterization of π‐Extended Azulenes via Nucleophilic Substitution and Intramolecular Cyclization of 5‐Alkynyl‐6‐Fluoroazulenes

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
A modular synthetic approach enables the preparation of azulene‐fused heterocycles via nucleophilic aromatic substitution followed by intramolecular cyclization of alkynyl fluoroazulenes. The method allows the incorporation of various heteroatoms (N, O, S, Se, and Te), leading to structurally diverse heteroannulated azulenes.

Formation of a 14‐Electron Intermediate in Iridium Catalysis through Reductive Elimination: Dissociation Is Rate Determining

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
Dynamic NMR and trapping studies reveal that POCOP–Ir phenyl hydride complexes perform reductive coupling rapidly but dissociate benzene slowly. PCP–Ir analogs show comparatively slow reductive coupling and faster dissociation. This work experimentally clarifies aspects of C–H reductive elimination in iridium pincer complexes.(POCOP = bisphosphinite ...
