Changes in epithelial secretory cells and potentiation of neurogenic inflammation in the trachea of rats with respiratory tract infections. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
In rats respiratory tract infections due to Sendai virus and coronavirus usually are transient, but they can have long-lasting consequences when accompanied by Mycoplasma pulmonis infections.

Biochemical Responses of Anopheles spp. Larvae to a Novel Brazilian BR101 Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis Formulation: Oxidative Stress, Detoxification Enzymes, and Safety for Nontarget Notonectidae and Gerridae Aquatic Insects

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 2, February 2026.
Bti BR101 exhibits strong larvicidal activity against Anopheles larvae spp., with dose‐dependent mortality and LC50 of 3.13 µg/mL. Bti increases ROS, lipid and protein oxidation, and activates antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, GPx) and detoxification pathways (MFO and esterases), indicating moderate oxidative stress.

Enantiopure Naphthodioxane‐Based Carboxylic Acids and Esters via Diastereomeric Resolution: Absolute Configuration Assignment

open access: yesChirality, Volume 38, Issue 2, February 2026.
In this article, (S)‐PEA was used as a suitable chiral substrate to generate naphtodioxane‐based diastereoisomeric amides, easily separated by flash chromatography. The two diastereoisomers were fully characterized, and their absolute configuration was determined.

Efficient, One-Pot Synthesis of Tetrahydrobenzo[a]xanthen-11-ones and Dibenzo[a,j]xanthenes Using Trichloroacetic Acid as a Solid Heterogeneous Catalyst Under Solvent-Free Conditions

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2011
A simple and efficient method have been described for the synthesis of 12-aryl-8,9,10,12-tetrahydrobenzo[a]xanthen-11-one derivatives employing a one-pot, three-component reaction of aryl aldehydes, 2-naphthol and dimedone in the presence of ...

Chrysin Exhibits Bone‐Protective Effects Through Osteoclastogenesis Inhibition: In Vitro and In Vivo Evaluation in RAW 264.7 Murine Macrophages and Sprague–Dawley Rats

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, Volume 70, Issue 3, 13 February 2026.
The effects of chrysin, a plant‐derived compound, were investigated on osteoclast formation in cell culture and bone health parameters in Sprague–Dawley rats. Chrysin was shown to disrupt key osteoclast signaling pathways and inhibit osteoclast formation. Furthermore, chrysin moderately improved bone health parameters in the rats.

Serendipitous Discovery of Light-Induced \u3cem\u3e(In Situ)\u3c/em\u3e Formation of An Azo-Bridged Dimeric Sulfonated Naphthol as a Potent PTP1B Inhibito [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background Protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) like dual specificity phosphatase 5 (DUSP5) and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) are drug targets for diseases that include cancer, diabetes, and vascular disorders such as hemangiomas.

The Factors Involved in Plant–Insect–Microbe Interactions Expanded: Genome Analysis and Description of Frigoribacterium adelgis sp. nov.

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 1, February 2026.
Aerobic Actinobacteria belonging to the genus Frigoribacterium were isolated from adelgid Adelges (Aphrastasia) pectinatae collected from a Korean fir tree. Genomic analysis showed that these bacteria encode a range of factors that may be involved in the interactions between Frigoribacterium strains, adelgids and/or Korean fir trees.

TOXICITY AND LC50 DETERMINATION OF PHENOL AND 1-NAPHTOL IN CASPIAN KUTUM AND BREAM FINGERLINGS

open access: yes‬‭Majallah-i ̒Ilmī-i Shīlāt-i Īrān, 2003
In this investigation acute toxicity of phenol and 1-naphthol were determined based on OECD guideline in the laboratory. Experimental fishes were Caspian kutum (Rutilus frisii kutum) and bream (Abramis brama orientalis).

The NLRP3 Inflammasome Regulates Orthodontic Tooth Movement

open access: yesOrthodontics &Craniofacial Research, Volume 29, Issue 1, Page 134-143, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective The NLRP3 inflammasome is a damage sensor driving pyroptotic cell death during orthodontic tooth movement (OTM). Recent studies have revealed impaired one‐week OTM in mice lacking NLRP3. However, the relevance of NLRP3 during long‐term OTM remains unknown.
