Dupilumab Beyond the Airway: Decreased Morbidity in a Real‐World Analysis

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, Volume 16, Issue 6, Page 607-614, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Post hoc analyses of clinical trials have characterized dupilumab's adverse effects, yet the real‐world impact in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and asthma is not well described. This study aims to characterize the risks of lymphoma, cardiovascular events, eosinophilia, joint pain, inflammatory arthritis, and ...

Disease Remission: A Scoping Review With Thematic Analysis of the Scientific Literature With Implications for Chronic Rhinosinusitis

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, Volume 16, Issue 6, Page 615-629, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Remission, a term used to describe a goal of treatment for some chronic diseases, has recently been proposed for chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). However, it is unclear what remission means for CRS and why it should serve as a goal in the present‐day treatment of CRS.

Interleukin‐5, Eosinophils, and Interleukin‐5 Pathway Inhibitors in Eosinophilic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 78, Issue 6, Page 1196-1205, June 2026.
Interlukin‐5 (IL‐5) plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) by promoting eosinophil differentiation, activation, and survival. We present here a typical case of EGPA in which treatment with IL‐5 pathway inhibitors is prescribed, showing to be beneficial for the patient.

Beyond Vasospasm: Dual Milrinone and Balloon Angioplasty in Refractory Delayed Cerebral Ischemia Post‐Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Cerebral vasospasm is a major complication of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and a key contributor to delayed cerebral ischemia, which remains a leading cause of morbidity despite standard therapy with nimodipine and induced hypertension.

A Deceiving Massive Opacification of the Maxillary Sinus: Odontogenic Cyst Mimicking Odontogenic Sinusitis

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Considered the second most common type of odontogenic cysts, dentigerous cysts (DCs) are developmental lesions most often detected incidentally on radiographic imaging. The pathogenesis of DCs is not fully understood, but they are widely regarded as developmental cysts originating from the dental follicle.

Programmed Cell Death in Chronic Rhinosinusitis

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a prevalent upper respiratory condition characterized by a multifaceted etiology involving various cellular and molecular processes. In recent years, researchers have increasingly recognized the significance of different forms of programmed cell death (PCD), such as apoptosis and pyroptosis, in the pathological ...
