The structure of nasturtium amyloid

Abstract Nasturtium amyloid contains residues of d -glucose, d -xylose, and d -galactose in the molar proportions of 3:2:1, and all of them are pyranoid. The isolation of cellobiose and cellotetraose led to the conclusion that the main chain of this amyloid is a chain of the cellulose type. There are two branches per six glycosidic residues.
