Constitutive Metabolomic Profiles Linked to Seasonal Climate Niche Adaptation and Resilience to Black Rot in Cabbage

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plants are dynamic chemical factories that produce diverse specialised metabolites essential for growth, defence, and environmental adaptation. Metabolomes, shaped by genetic architecture, enable plants to respond to abiotic and biotic pressures, including temperature fluctuations.

Advances in organic UV filters for sunscreens over the past decade

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Highlighted organic UV filter frameworks that have been described for sunscreens over the past decade divided into three groups: derivatives of or inspired by approved organic UV filters, natural product‐based compounds, and miscellaneous. Abstract Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is a major environmental factor in photoaging, erythema, and skin cancer ...

Protective effect of cannabinoid type 2 receptor agonist (JWH‐133) against hepatotoxicity induced by Prangos ferulacea Lindl. extract

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract This study investigated Prangos ferulacea (PF)‐induced hepatotoxicity, its potential association with endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and proinflammatory cytokines, and the effect of the cannabinoid type 2 receptor agonist JWH‐133. Rats (n = 37) were divided into four groups: control–sham group (CSG, n = 9), PF extract group (PG, n = 9), PF ...

Comparative Pharmacokinetics of Six Bioactive Constituents From Danggui Jixueteng Decoction in Normal and Myelosuppressive Rats

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 2, December 2026.
ABSTRACT This study compared the pharmacokinetics of six constituents from Danggui Jixueteng Decoction in normal versus carboplatin‐induced myelosuppressive rats. A rapid, sensitive ultra‐high performance liquid chromatography‐tandem mass spectrometry method was developed and validated for simultaneous quantification of six diverse constituents (8‐O ...

Palladium‐Photocatalyzed C3‐Alkylation of Coumarins With Alkyl Bromides: Development and Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 19, 1 October 2026.
Visible‐light palladium catalysis enables the direct C3‐alkylation of coumarins with readily available alkyl bromides under mild conditions. Mechanistic studies support radical addition followed by base‐assisted deprotonation and outer‐sphere electron transfer, allowing product formation and catalyst regeneration without formation of a PdC bond.
