The morphology-density relation: a constant of nature [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Astronomical Union, 2007
AbstractThe Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and photometric/spectroscopic surveys of two z ~ 0.8 massive clusters of galaxies and the Chandra Deep Field-South (CDFS) are used to construct volume-limited, stellar mass-selected samples of galaxies at redshifts 0 < z < 1 in a large range of environments. Morphologies are determined visually and with

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

REFERENCE ON THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES: DENSITY AND VISCOSITY OF WATER FOR ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE

open access: yes, 2016
A reference on thermophysical properties, density and viscosity, for water at atmospheric pressure has been developed in MS Excel (as a macros). Pattersons density equations and Kestins viscosity equations have been chosen as a basic equation in the VBA ...

Number Theory Combination: Natural Density and SMT

open access: yes
Abstract The study of theory combination in Satisfiability Modulo Theories (SMT) involves various model theoretic properties (e.g., stable infiniteness, smoothness, etc.). We show that such properties can be partly captured by the natural density of the spectrum of the studied theories, which is the set of sizes of their finite models.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

2D benchmark experiments and simulations of density coupled flow problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Variations of fluid densities can alter flow patterns and transport processes, if solute concentration differences are high enough to cause relevant density contrasts.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
