Natural frequency analysis of a human tibia

Journal of Biomechanics, 1980
Abstract A beam type finite element computer model is used to predict the natural frequency response of a human tibia with varying geometries, mass formulations and boundary conditions. Results are compared to analytic solutions and to published computer and experimental results.

Influence of inerter on natural frequencies of vibration systems

, 2014
This paper investigates the influence of inerter on the natural frequencies of vibration systems. First of all, the natural frequencies of a single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) system and a two-degree-of-freedom (TDOF) system are derived algebraically and ...

Natural Frequencies of Mindlin Circular Plates

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1980
The natural frequencies of vibration based upon the Mindlin plate theory are tabulated for uniform circular plates with free, simply supported, and clamped edges for the first several tens modes.

Frequency of Natural Events

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1961
In order to explain magnetic frequency relationships, development of cumulative frequency curve and its statistical interpretation are discussed; from frequency curve, relation between magnitude and design period in years is derived; applicability of procedure is shown by sampling from 1023-yr period of tree-ring indexes.

The Multiplanar Nature of Frequency

Glottotheory, 2016
Abstract As reflected by the distinction between types and tokens, frequency is standardly conceived of in a two-dimensional fashion. This conception draws on the linguistic hierarchy in that token frequency is calculated at a higher structural level than type frequency. The fact that the linguistic hierarchy consists of more than two

Computation of Natural Frequencies

2015
The frequencies at which a PKM tends to vibrate when hit, struck or somehow disturbed are known as the natural frequencies. The determination of the natural frequencies of PKM is needed for both design and control purposes. In this chapter, we present the computation of natural frequencies of parallel robots.

Frequency of Naturally Occurring Strabismus in Monkeys

Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, 1985
ABSTRACT A colony of Macaca nemestrina monkeys was screened for naturally occurring strabismus. Thirteen cases of naturally occurring strabismus were documented, 12 esotropes and one exotrope. The characteristics of the strabismus in these monkeys were similar to those of human clinical cases.

The natural frequencies of portal frames—II

International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 1965
Abstract The oscillations of a single-storey, single-bay portal frame have been investigated. The particular case of a frame having identical columns which differ from the cross-beam has been studied in detail for the limiting cases of (a) encastre footing, (b) pinned footing.

A Note on Natural Frequencies

Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1949
THE aim of this paper is to calculate the natural frequencies and to consider the influence of the damping parameter on a wing's natural flexural and torsional vibration. The author took into account only the elastic hysteresis of the material because the structural damping, depending on the type of the aeroplane, cannot be taken into account in a ...
