A Sacrificial 3D Printed Vessel‐on‐Chip Demonstrates a Versatile Approach to Model Granulation Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A novel method that combines 3D printing and organ‐on‐chip technology enables the creation of hollow channels lined with endothelial cells through a fibroblast‐populated connective tissue matrix. The model supports stable metabolic culture conditions, angiogenic sprouting, and immune cell migration, thereby demonstrating an easy and versatile method to

3D Printing of Bacteriophage‐Loaded Hydrogels: Development of a Local and Long‐Lasting Delivery System

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This research investigates the feasibility of 3D‐printing of a bacteriophage‐containing hydrogel made of alginate and methylcellulose. The printed hydrogels steadily release active bacteriophages for up to 35 days which is beneficial to treat implant‐associated infections.

Low-intensity Pulsed Ultrasound Enhances NK Cell Adoptive Therapy by Modulating the Wnt/β-catenin Signaling Pathway

open access: yesBIO Integration
Natural killer cell adoptive therapy is a novel immunotherapy strategy for the treatment of multiple refractory tumors, including ovarian cancer. However, natural killer cells’ anti-tumor effectiveness is limited by their viability and cytotoxicity.

A model for the differentiation of human natural killer cells. Studies on the in vitro activation of Leu-11+ granular lymphocytes with a natural killer-sensitive tumor cell, K562. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A subpopulation of low density granular lymphocytes that express the natural killer (NK) cell-associated Leu-11 antigen (IgG Fc receptor) were stimulated directly by coculture with an NK-sensitive tumor cell, K562.
