THE ARTICULATIONS BETWEEN ETHNOBOTANICS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE DISCIPLINE NATURAL SCIENCES

open access: yes, 2017
The present work aims to highlight the cognitive articulations between the areas of Natural Sciences and Ethnobotany in the educational scenario of Science teaching in Brazil. The methodological proposal came from the students' knowledge and extended to the families, who expressed different categories of uses of the plants, derived from knowledge and ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

CONSTRUCTIVE GEOGRAPHY AND ITS DEVELOPMENT IN THE SYSTEM OF NATURAL SCIENCE DISCIPLINES

open access: yesCollection of Scientific papers Kamianets-Podilskyi National Ivan Ohiienko University. Pedagogical series
The article is devoted to the development of constructive geography as a scientific direction in the system of natural science disciplines. The history of the formation of the constructive approach and its emergence as an independent branch of geography is considered on the example of the works of D. I. Bogorad and leading Ukrainian scientists.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...
