Upcycling orange by‐product: phenolic bioaccessibility and technological features of jelly candies enriched with hydroalcoholic and enzymatic extracts

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 6, Page 3773-3785, April 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Phenolic extracts are recognized for their health‐promoting properties, although some physicochemical characteristics limit their food applications. The present study aimed to valorize orange juice by‐products through enzymatic and hydroalcoholic extraction to obtain flavonoid ingredients and to evaluate their application in pectin ...

Longitudinal 3D‐DCE MRI Assessment of Placental Perfusion Under Reduced Uterine Perfusion Pressure in Pregnant Rats

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 4, April 2026.
This first application of longitudinal 3D‐DCE MRI in the RUPP model demonstrated acute perfusion deficits after RUPP that resolved rapidly with advancing gestation, consistent with the adaptive placental responses to reduced uterine blood flow. ABSTRACT Placental insufficiency is a major cause of preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction.

Immediate Effect of Four Exercises on Linea Alba Thickness, Distortion and Inter‐Recti Distance in Parous Women

open access: yesPhysiotherapy Research International, Volume 31, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose This cross‐sectional study assessed the impact of four abdominal exercises (crunch, abdominal drawing‐in maneuver [ADIM], pelvic floor muscle contraction, and de Gasquet basic exercise) on inter‐recti distance (IRD) and linea alba (LA) distortion and thickness in parous women.

Effect of different types of branches, growth stages, and rootstocks on mineral nutrients concentration in the leaves of citrus

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Horticultural Science
Summary To clarify the difference of leaf mineral nutrients affected by types of branches, growth stages, and rootstocks of navel orange, a field experiment was conducted on nine-year-old ‘Newhall’ navel orange grafted on trifoliate orange or citrange ...

Effects of ultraviolet radiation on the microbiological, physicochemical, and sensory properties of Rangpur lime juice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Rangpur lime juice was subjected to ultraviolet (UV) radiation as a non-thermal technology and changes in/on quality characteristics (microbiological, physicochemical and sensorial) were determined in order to extend its shelf life.

ORMDL Proteins Turnover via Proteasome and Autophagy Is Cell‐Type Dependent and Tied to Ceramide Homeostasis

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 6, 31 March 2026.
ORMDL proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) negatively regulate serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT) activity in response to the rate of de novo sphingolipid synthesis. Disruption of ceramide homeostasis by myriocin or fumonisin B1 (FB1) appears to destabilize the ORMDL‐SPT complex, leading to ORMDL degradation as a feedback mechanism.
