Studies on cold tolerance in navel orange strains

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2000
The cold tolerance of 6 navel orange strains (Citrus Sinensis (L) Osbeck.) was determined. The result showed that through 10 hours treatment at -7℃ the relative conductivity of 954 navel orange was less than 50%, and LT50 of it was -6.58 ℃.

Integrated Transcriptomics and Metabolomics Analyses Provide Insights Into the Response of Chongyi Wild Mandarin to Candidatus Liberibacter Asiaticus Infection

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2021
Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas) is the causative agent of Huanglongbing (HLB), which has caused great economic losses to the citrus industry. The molecular mechanism of the host response to CLas in wild citrus germplasm has been reported less ...

Genetic predisposition to porto‐sinusoidal vascular disorder: A functional genomic‐based, multigenerational family study

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
A deleterious variant of FCHSD1 results in mTOR pathway overactivation and may cause porto‐sinusoidal vascular disorder (PSVD). The pedigree of the family demonstrated an autosomal dominant disease with variable expressivity. Whole‐genome sequencing and Sanger sequencing both validated the existence of the FCHSD1 variant and the heterozygosity of c ...

Navel Orange Split [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Author(s): Geisel, Pamela M; Unruh, Carolyn L; Lawson, Patricia M | Abstract: A near-ripe citrus fruit that splits on the tree gives a disappointing end to the growing season. Read about likely causes of navel orange split and what you can do to help reduce its occurrence.

DNA amplified fingerprinting, a useful tool for determination of genetic origin and diversity analysis in Citrus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
We used three short repetitive nucleotide sequences [(GTG)5, (TAC)5, and (GACA)4] either as radiolabeled probes for hybridization with restricted Citrus DNA or as single primers in polymerase chain reaction amplification experiments with total genomic ...

Dodder-transmitted mobile systemic signals activate a salt-stress response characterized by a transcriptome change in Citrus sinensis

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
Citrus is an essential horticultural fruit whose yield and quality are affected by salinity all over the world. The recognition and adaptive regulation of citrus against salt stress are important areas for cultivar improvement, but the vascular system ...

Site of Fluoride Accumulation in Navel Orange Leaves [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1966
Fluoride-polluted navel orange leaves, Citrus sinensis (Linn.) Osbeck, were fractionated into the subcellular components in hexane/carbon tetrachloride mixtures having various densities. Fluoride was determined at each fraction. Analyses were also made for the subcellular distribution of chlorophyll, nitrogen, and DNA to assess the extent of cross ...

Chemical Composition, Antimicrobial, Antioxidant, and Antiproliferative Properties of Grapefruit Essential Oil Prepared by Molecular Distillation

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
Grapefruit essential oil has been proven to have wide range of bioactivities. However, bioactivity of its molecular distillate has not been well studied. In this study, a light phase oil was obtained by molecular distillation from cold-pressed grapefruit
