Major Metabolites of NBPT Degradation Pathways Contribute to Urease Inhibition in Soil

Chemosphere, 2022
Urea is the most commonly used nitrogen fertilizer worldwide. However, depending on soil and environmental conditions, high nitrogen losses can occur due to gaseous ammonia emissions. Urease inhibitors like N-(n-butyl)thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT) reduce these losses by blocking the urease enzyme, which catalyzes urea hydrolysis.

Temporal Response of Ureolytic and Ammonia-Oxidizing Microbes and Pasture Yield to Urea and NBPT at Leigh Creek of Victoria in Australia

open access: yesApplied Soil Ecology, 2021
The urease inhibitor N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT) has been reported to effectively reduce nitrogen (N) losses by inhibiting urea hydrolysis. However, the effect of NBPT on soil ureolytic and ammonia-oxidizing microbes is not well understood,

N-(N-Butyl) Thiophosphoric Triamide (NBPT)-Coated Urea (NCU) Improved Maize Growth and Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) in Highly Weathered Tropical Soil [PDF]

open access: yesSustainability, 2020
Nitrogen (N) fertilizer is commonly used to supply sufficient N for plant uptake, for which urea is one of the highly preferred synthetic N fertilizers due to its high N content.

The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) Process: Who Applies and What Factors Are Associated with NBPTS Certification?

Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, 2004
National Board Certification represents one of the most significant reform efforts in the area of teacher quality in the last two decades. Since the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certified its first round of teachers in 1995, approximately 32,000 teachers have become certified at a cost to the country of well over $300 ...

Recent Advances in No-Break Power Transfer (NBPT)

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1992
<div class="htmlview paragraph">No-break power transfer (NBPT) has been used in the 400 Hz aircraft electrical power business for over 30 years. Initially, NBPT was performed on military aircraft or large commercial jets where the interest was to maintain availability of critical equipment during dispatch.
