Rice response as affected by various fertilizer‐P sources under contrasting irrigation methods
Abstract Alternative fertilizer‐phosphorus (P) sources created by recycling excess nutrients from waste sources, such as struvite (MgNH4PO4·6H2O), require further research to determine their niche in agriculture and potential environmental implications.

Abstract Ammonia (NH3) volatilization from urea‐based fertilizers reduces nitrogen use efficiency and contributes to atmospheric NH3 emissions and associated health risks. In a laboratory study, we compared NH3 volatilization losses from urea (Urea) (with and without a urease inhibitor [UI]), ammonium nitrate (AN), ammonium sulfate (AS), polymer‐coated

Effect of NBPT-DCD (Urease and Nitrification Inhibitor) on Nitrogen Loss, N Uptake and Oil Palm Yields (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) in Typic Dystrudepts Soil [PDF]
Incorporating N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT) as a urease inhibitor and Dicyandiamide (DCD) as a nitrification inhibitor can enhance the efficiency of nitrogen (N) fertilization.

This study reviews the relevant work regarding the modification of self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) by electron irradiation. Both fundamental aspects and the related implications and applications are addressed. The latter includes tuning SAM properties, preparation of binary SAMs, conventional and chemical lithography, carbon nanomembranes, control of ...

Ammonia volatilization from soils fertilized with urea and varying rates of urease inhibitor NBPT
Loss of N as ammonia (NH3) from surface-applied urea fertilizer may be high if hydrolysis takes place at the soil surface. The urease inhibitor N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT) may reduce NH3 loss from urea by delaying hydrolysis.

An approach to minimize the loss of nitrogen (N) evaporating from urea is by inhibiting urease activity by urea coating with N- (n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT) and N- (n-propyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NPPT).

Under fertigation, the combined application of urea‐ammonium nitrate solution with nitrogen cycle inhibitors optimized the spatiotemporal availability of nitrogen. By delaying leaf senescence, enhancing photosynthetic capacity during the late growth stage, and increasing dry matter accumulation, this approach ultimately boosts summer maize yield ...
