Phenomenal regression to the real object in physical and virtual worlds [PDF]
© 2014, Springer-Verlag London. In this paper, we investigate a new approach to comparing physical and virtual size and depth percepts that captures the involuntary responses of participants to different stimuli in their field of view, rather than ...

Maxwellian near-eye display with an expanded eyebox
Maxwellian view systems can be employed to circumvent the vergence-accommodation conflict in near-eye displays (NEDs), which directly project images onto the retina regardless of the human eye’s depth of focus. However, Maxwellian view optics typically have a limited eyebox, which prevents broader applications of this architecture in NEDs.

Real scene acquisition and holographic near-eye display system based on a zoom industrial endoscope.
In this paper, we propose a real scene acquisition and holographic near-eye display system based on a zoom industrial endoscope. By controlling the driving current of the liquid lens, the working distance and focal length of the zoom industrial endoscope

Enhancing the Optical Efficiency of Near-Eye Displays with Liquid Crystal Optics
We demonstrate a light efficient virtual reality (VR) near-eye display (NED) design based on a directional display panel and a diffractive deflection film (DDF).

EyeScout: Active Eye Tracking for Position and Movement Independent Gaze Interaction with Large Public Displays [PDF]
While gaze holds a lot of promise for hands-free interaction with public displays, remote eye trackers with their confined tracking box restrict users to a single stationary position in front of the display.

Holographic near-eye display system with large viewing area based on liquid crystal axicon.
In this paper, a liquid crystal axicon based holographic near-eye display system with large viewing area is proposed. The viewing area of the system is extended by implementing the liquid crystal axicon. The error diffusion algorithm is used to calculate

Symptomatic dry eye disease and associated factors among postgraduate students in Ethiopia
Background Symptomatic dry eye disease is a growing public health challenge especially among those who are visual display unit (VDU) users and other long-time near activity workers.

ABSTRACT Background The delipid extracorporeal lipoprotein filter from plasma (DELP) treatment can effectively reduce blood lipid, increase blood flow, and improve neurological deficits in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, its effect on vision and retinal microcirculation in stroke patients has never been reported.

Full-color retinal-projection near-eye display using a multiplexing-encoding holographic method.
We propose a novel method to construct an optical see-through retinal-projection near-eye display using the Maxwellian view and a holographic method. To provide a dynamic full-color virtual image, a single phase-only spatial light modulator (SLM) was ...
