AbstractA series of compounds based on the mGluR5‐selective ligand 2‐methyl‐6‐(phenylethynyl)pyridine (MPEP) were designed and synthesized. The compounds were found to be either structural analogues of MPEP, substituted monomers, or dimeric analogues.
