Discovery, isolation and characterization of novel biomolecules with nematicidal activity. [PDF]
Both, sesquiterpene lactones isolated from Ambrosia and trypsin inhibitors isolated from Cassia and from Mucuna are new potential tools to engineer transgenic plants with resistance to plant parasitic nematodes.Bioactive defense-related proteins include

Nematicidal activity of the fungicide ethazole.
The nematicidal activity of the fungicide ethazole was studied under greenhouse conditions in which a nematode-infested, Norfolk sandy loam was planted to cotton (var. = 'Rowden'). At planting time, the fungicide was incorporated in the soil at rates of 0-100 mg/kg soil.

Murayaquinone isolated from the pine endophyte Streptomyces sp. AN140557 exhibits potent, dose‐dependent nematicidal activity and egg‐hatching inhibition against the pine wood nematode. It effectively inhibited pine wilt disease in greenhouse tests, suggesting potential as a promising biocontrol agent.

ABSTRACT Pratylenchus spp. are highly polyphagous migratory endoparasites and rank among the most important plant‐parasitic nematodes in agriculture. Their management relies primarily on integrated practices, including the use of chemical nematicides, biological control agents, and cultural strategies.

Currently available drugs for trypanosomiasis are few, and their use is limited by toxicity and growing resistance. This highlights the need for safer and more effective alternatives. In this study, the in vitro and in vivo antitrypanosomal activities of an 80% methanol root extract of Lobelia rhynchopetalum and its major constituent were evaluated ...
