The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

[Neoplasm recurrence after partial laryngectomy].

The frequency and type of failures after 121 partial laryngectomies in patients treated for cancer of larynx during 10 years (1980-1989) were evaluated. Failures in treatment (in the from of a local and nodal recurrence, distant metastasis or second primary malignant tumour) were noted in 33 (27.3%) cases.
