Single‐cell profiling reveals peripheral blood immune landscape remodelling in breast cancer lymph node metastasis

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
scRNA‐seq reveals pro‐metastatic neutrophil and exhausted T/NK subsets in BC patients with LN metastasis. Interferon‐stimulated neutrophils secrete LGALS9, drives T/NK cell exhaustion via HAVCR2. Neutralising LGALS9 restores T‐cell anti‐tumour activity, suggesting a novel therapeutic target.

Anti Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Agents in Corneal Neovascularization

open access: yesDelhi Journal of Ophthalmology, 2011
Corneal neovascularisation is a potentially blinding condition, an established risk factor for rejection and results in loss of immune privilege. It may occur as a normal physiologic healing response to various stimuli or as an inappropriate local tissue

A novel small molecule ameliorates ocular neovascularisation and synergises with anti-VEGF therapy

open access: yes, 2016
Ocular neovascularisation underlies blinding eye diseases such as retinopathy of prematurity, proliferative diabetic retinopathy, and wet age-related macular degeneration.

DualPath‐DRNet: A Self‐Annotating Dual‐Path Networks for End‐To‐End Diabetic Retinopathy Diagnosis

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
DualPath‐DRNet for automated diabetic retinopathy diagnosis and grading. ABSTRACT One of the challenges in detecting Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is the detection of subtle early‐stage microaneurysms. DualPath‐DRNet is an end‐to‐end deep learning pipeline for 5‐class DR prediction. The novelty of this method lies in combining lesion detection using YOLOv8,

Measurement of Corneal Neovascularisation with the Use of Image Processing Techniques

open access: yes, 2014
The aim of the article is to present the developed technique to measure the degree of neovascularisation of the cornea image in visible light. The study used an image sensor attached to a slit lamp.

Targeted Delivery of mRNA to the Heart via Extracellular Vesicles or Lipid Nanoparticles

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Efficient and specific delivery of mRNA to target tissues is critical for maximising therapeutic benefits while minimising off‐target effects and systemic toxicity. Systemic administration of mRNA using lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) or extracellular vesicles (EVs) typically leads to predominant accumulation in the liver.

Ultrasound-guided electrocoagulation of neovascularisation for persistent patellar tendinopathy in athletes: a cohort study of 25 patients with a mean follow-up of 5 years from the SANTI Study Group

open access: yesBMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine
Background Patellar tendinopathy (PT) is a common condition characterised by persistent patellar tendon pain and dysfunction, particularly in athletes. Neovascularisation is frequently observed in the PT and is associated with increased pain.

Diagnostic Features of Discogenic Low Back Pain: A Narrative Review and Suggested Areas for Future Research and Clinical Practice

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic low back pain is a leading cause of global disability, with discogenic low back pain (DLBP), mechanically stimulated pain arising from the intervertebral disc, representing an important but often under‐recognized subtype. DLBP arises from chronic structural and metabolic changes within the intervertebral disc, leading to ...

Emerging techniques to treat corneal neovascularisation [PDF]

open access: yesEye, 2011
Neovascularisation is a major cause of visual loss in a number of ophthalmic diseases. This review aims to outline the basic regulators of vessel growth in corneal neovascularisation. An understanding of the underlying principles of physiological and pathophysiological vascular development helps to appreciate current approaches to prevent or treat ...
