Electrospun Nanofiber Platforms for Photodynamic Therapy: Role and Efficacy in Cancer, Antimicrobial, and Wound Healing Applications

Electrospun nanofibers provide a unique platform for photosensitizers, due to their large surface area and biocompatibility, improving both loading efficiency and controlled release. The photosensitizer‐modified nanofibers are activated upon light exposure, and produce reactive oxygen species to treat cancer, pathogen infections, and wounds.
