Transmission-Line Model for Myelinated Nerve Fiber
2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005Herein, the well-known cable equation for non-myelinated axon model is extended analytically for myelinated axon formulation. The classical cable equation is thereby modified into a linear second order ordinary differential equation with periodic coefficient, known as Hill's equation.

Analog Model of a Passive Myelinated Nerve Fiber
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1973A model for a passive myelinated nerve fiber has been constructed utilizing an EAI 8800 analog computer. The model is designed to demonstrate the passive spread of a voltage applied to a fiber at a node of Ranvier.

Multi-Electrode Stimulation Of Myelinated Nerve Fibers
1993Patients with a central nervous system injury resulting in total or partial paralysis of extremities often have an intact peripheral neuromuscular system. Many attempts were made to restore lost functions by artificial electrical stimulation of the peripheral neuromuscular system. In principle, inducing muscle contraction is possible through electrical

Familial myelinated nerve fiber
Tropical OphthalmologyAbstract We describe three cases of myelinated retinal nerve fibres, in a patient, her brother and mother, suggesting that an inherited defect may be responsible in certain cases.

Beading Phenomena of Mammalian Myelinated Nerve Fibers
Science, 1963Fresh mammalian nerve, when subjected to a small stretch, shows a beading phenomenon. The larger fibers appear as a series of dilations and constrictions at intervals of 40 to 75 μ. Upon relaxation this beading is gone within a minute. The beading is not produced by the special technique of freeze-substitution used to show the phenomenon.
