We describe the CD9 interactome in epithelial cells for the first time. The interactome is diverse and dynamic and changes dependent on infection with specific bacteria. E3 ligase Praja1 mediates ubiquitination and degradation of microtubule‐associated protein tau
E3 ligase Praja1, but not its paralogue Praja2, recognizes and ubiquitinates tau protein for proteasomal degradation. This newly identified function of Praja1‐mediated tau degradation suggests its role in protein quality control, which may provide insights into the pathogenesis of tauopathies.

Our study demonstrates that alternative 3′UTR variants of ALS‐linked transcripts modulate subcellular RNA localization and cytoskeletal architecture. Human RNase 7 is known to exert antimicrobial activity in epithelial tissues. Here, using SH‐SY5Y and U‐87 MG, neuroblastoma and glioblastoma cell lines, respectively, we found that RNase 7 enhances immune responses to LPS stimulation by reducing the expression of pro‐inflammatory cytokines, nitric oxide, and ROS.

Hypothyroidism is an independent risk factor for cognitive impairment in T2DM patients, with a progressive risk increase associated with higher TSH levels.
