Deciphering the skeletal interoceptive circuitry to control bone homeostasis

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
This review introduces the skeletal interoceptive circuitry, covering the ascending signals from bone tissues to the brain (sensors), the central neural circuits that integrate this information and dispatch commands (CPU), and the descending pathways that regulate bone homeostasis (effectors).

Quasistatic approximation in neuromodulation

open access: yesJournal of Neural Engineering
Abstract We define and explain the quasistatic approximation (QSA) as applied to field modeling for electrical and magnetic stimulation. Neuromodulation analysis pipelines include discrete stages, and QSA is applied specifically when calculating the electric and magnetic fields generated in tissues by a given stimulation dose.

Coordinate Network Mapping of Focal Brain Volume Differences in ADHD Reveals Common Patterns That Lack Specificity: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAnnals of the Child Neurology Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been associated with decreased regional brain volume, yet no consistent localization has emerged across studies. This discrepancy has been attributed to ADHD's diagnostic heterogeneity; however, one alternative is that ADHD is associated with alterations of brain networks, not ...

Current Status and Future Directions in the Development of Digital Therapeutic Interventions for Neurodevelopmental Disorders

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Innovations in digital technologies have emerged digital therapeutics (DTx) as a novel therapeutic intervention. DTx hold potential as novel theragnostics for disorders with broad diagnostic spectra, including neurodevelopmental diseases (NDDs). In this review, we highlight challenging factors in the successful development and deployment of DTx for ...
