Interchain coupling effects on photoinduced phase transitions between neutral and ionic phases in an extended Hubbard model with alternating potentials and an electron-lattice coupling

open access: yes, 2006
Dynamics of ionic-to-neutral and neutral-to-ionic phase transitions induced by intrachain charge-transfer photoexcitations are studied in a quasi-one-dimensional extended Hubbard model with alternating potentials and an electron-lattice coupling for ...

The nature of the Lyman-alpha emission region of FDF-4691 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In order to study the origin of the strong Lyman-alpha emission of high-redshift starburst galaxies we observed and modeled the emission of the z = 3.304 galaxy FDF-4691 (rest-frame EW = 103 Angstroem).

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Data‐Driven Satellite Drag Modeling Without Dynamic Knowledge of the Atmosphere

open access: yesSpace Weather
Increasing congestion in low Earth orbit (LEO) from new satellite deployments and a growing debris population has made accurate orbital trajectory prediction essential for anticipating and avoiding potential collisions on a regular basis.

Neutrino Propagation and Oscillations in a Strong Magnetic Field

open access: yes, 2004
We review the results on neutrino propagation in neutral and charged media under strong magnetic fields $M_{W}^{2}\gg B\gg m_{e}^{2}$. It is shown that the neutrino energy density gets a magnetic contribution in both charged and neutral media, which is ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Studies of the low-energy neutral behavior using the low-energy neutral particle analyzer on EAST

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2022
The neutral energy spectrums with an energy range of 20–3000 eV was measured by the low energy neutral particle analyzer (LENPA) in the 2021 EAST summer campaign.
