A pH/ROS‐dual‐responsive injectable hydrogel, formed by dynamic boronic ester and Schiff base crosslinking, co‐delivers enoblituzumab (B7‐H3 blocker) and Cl‐amidine (NETs suppressor). Via localized intratumoral delivery, it synergistically reprograms the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, overcomes T cell infiltration barriers, restores ...

Autoantibodies stabilize neutrophil extracellular traps in COVID-19
The release of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) by hyperactive neutrophils is recognized to play an important role in the thromboinflammatory milieu inherent to severe presentations of COVID-19.

HSP90α is significantly upregulated in platelets from sepsis patients, with its origin from megakaryocyte‐derived trafficking. Furthermore, activated platelets secrete HSP90α into the extracellular space in both free and exosome‐associated forms. Finally, extracellular HSP90α directly engages TLR4 on neutrophils to induce autophagy, leading to NET ...

Genetic variations in A20 DUB domain provide a genetic link to citrullination and neutrophil extracellular traps in systemic lupus erythematosus [PDF]
Objectives: Genetic variations in TNFAIP3 (A20) de-ubiquitinase (DUB) domain increase the risk of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis.

The oral bacterium Streptococcus salivarius promotes colorectal cancer metastasis by inducing neutrophil extracellular trap (NET) formation. Mechanistically, IRGM1–IQGAP1 interaction activates Wnt5a–PI3K/AKT signaling in neutrophils, driving NET‐mediated tumor progression.

Heparan sulfate modulates neutrophil and endothelial function in antibacterial innate immunity [PDF]
Recently, we showed that endothelial heparan sulfate facilitates entry of a bacterial pathogen into the central nervous system. Here, we show that normal bactericidal activity of neutrophils is influenced by the sulfation pattern of heparan sulfate ...

SLC2A3 derived lactate promotes metastasis through p53 lactylation at K120 and osteoclast differentiation. Pharmacological inhibition of SLC2A3 upregulates PD‐1 expression on CD8+ T cells via lactate induced p53 lactylation, which modulates immune evasion. ABSTRACT Bone metastasis is a devastating consequence of lung cancer.

A novel Bifidobacterium breve strain, Yang08, is isolated to counter its depletion in atopic dermatitis. In mice, live Yang08 requires an intact gut microbiota to exert protection, specifically enriching Akkermansia muciniphila and potently inhibiting pathogenic neutrophil activation and NETosis in the skin.
