Longitudinal changes in salivary biomarkers in Parkinson’s disease (PD) from early (T0) to 4‐year follow‐up (T1), quantified by ELISA: oligomeric and total α‐synuclein, total and phosphorylated tau, MAP1LC3B (autophagy), and TNFa (inflammation). Blue arrows indicate direction of change at T1 vs T0 (up = increase; down = decrease).

Dark showers from Z-dark Z′ mixing
We discuss dark shower signals at the LHC from a dark QCD sector, containing GeV-scale dark pions. The portal with the Standard Model is given by the mixing of the Z boson with a dark Z′ coupled to the dark quarks.

β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...

Scalar radiation zeros at the LHC
We consider a class of singlet scalar extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics in which the scalar couples only to off-shell states.

A facility to Search for Hidden Particles (SHiP) at the CERN SPS [PDF]
A new general purpose fixed target facility is proposed at the CERN SPS accelerator which is aimed at exploring the domain of hidden particles and make measurements with tau neutrinos. Hidden particles are predicted by a large number of models beyond the

Effects of light millicharged dark matter particles on primordial nucleosynthesis are considered. It is shown that if the mass of such particles is much smaller than the electron mass, they lead to strong overproduction of Helium-4.

In vitro cancer models are advantageous for studying important processes such as tumorigenesis, cancer growth, invasion, and metastasis. The complexity and biological relevance increase depending on the model structure, organization, and composition of materials and cells.

Flavor at FASER: discovering light scalars beyond minimal flavor violation
We study a simple class of flavored scalar models, in which the couplings of a new light scalar to standard-model fermions are controlled by the flavor symmetry responsible for fermion masses and mixings.

Transporting long-lived quantum spin coherence in a photonic crystal fiber
Confining particles in hollow-core photonic crystal fibers has opened up new prospects to scale up the distance and time over which particles can be made to interact with light.

The novelty of this study showed that the injection of exosomes produced from ADMSCs in combination with Roflumilast poses a more favorable therapeutic outcome for CKD induced by Adriamycin, compared to therapy with exosomes or Roflumilast alone. Roflumilast and exosomes treatment lowered the expression of the apoptotic, fibrotic, and inflammatory ...
