Transcription factors of the alternative NF-κB pathway are required for germinal center B-cell development [PDF]
The NF-κB signaling cascade relays external signals essential for B-cell growth and survival. This cascade is frequently hijacked by cancers that arise from the malignant transformation of germinal center (GC) B cells, underscoring the importance of ...

A bimetallic Mn–Ca nanoreactor (MCC) is developed as a non‐nucleotide STING nanoagonist for cancer metalloimmunotherapy. MCC induces Ca2+ overload and hydroxyl radical generation, resulting in mitochondrial damage and mtDNA release. The released mtDNA cooperates with Mn2+ to robustly activate cGAS–STING signaling.

Bench-to-bedside review: the role of activated protein C in maintaining endothelial tight junction function and its relationship to organ injury. [PDF]
Activated protein C (APC) has emerged as a novel therapeutic agent for use in selected patients with severe sepsis, even though the mechanism of its benefit is not well established.

An oral nanoplatform, MOP@T@D, which can maintain glucose homeostasis and restore islet β cells in diabetic rats is developed. It achieves efficient intestinal absorption and liver‐targeted delivery. The nanoparticle disintegrates only in response to hyperglycemia to release insulin on demand and provides antioxidant protection through selenoprotein ...

Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB)-mediated transcription is an important mediator for cellular responses to DNA damage. Genotoxic agents trigger a 'nuclear-to-cytoplasmic' NF-κB activation signaling pathway; however, the early nuclear signaling cascade ...

Advancement of NF-κB Signaling Pathway: A Novel Target in Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the deadliest cancers and is the third highest among cancer related deaths. Despite modest success with therapy such as gemcitabine, pancreatic cancer incidence remains virtually unchanged in the past 25 ...

A UV‐triggered injectable dual‐network hydrogel is reported as the first application of bletilla striata polysaccharide (BSP) in osteochondral repair. By integrating methacrylamide‐modified BSP and nitrobenzaldehyde‐functionalized hyaluronic acid, the system achieves immunomodulation, mechanical reinforcement, and dynamic tissue adhesion, thereby ...

Violacein, an indole-derived purple-colored natural pigment produced by Janthinobacterium lividum, inhibits the growth of head and neck carcinoma cell lines both in vitro and in vivo [PDF]
Violacein (VIO; 3-[1,2-dihydro-5-(5-hydroxy-1H-indol-3-yl)-2-oxo-3H-pyrrol-3-ylidene]-1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one), an indole-derived purple-colored pigment, produced by a limited number of Gram-negative bacteria species, including Chromobacterium ...
