NF-kappaB is an inducible transcription factor that is controlled by the signal activation cascades. NF-kappaB controls a number of genes involved in immuno-inflammatory responses, cell cycle progression, inhibition of apoptosis, and cell adhesion, thus promoting chronic inflammatory responses.
