TNF signature in advanced melanoma patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors: Results from the MELANFα clinical study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 157, Issue 3, Page 534-548, 1 August 2025.
What's new? Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) can promote tumor resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), which are now the standard treatment for advanced melanoma patients. Here, in an advanced melanoma patient cohort, TNF was investigated for a possible predictive relationship with ICI response. Assessments show that after 12 weeks of ICI therapy,

Changes in multi‐gene cancer panels for children: A 4‐year retrospective review

open access: yesJournal of Genetic Counseling, Volume 34, Issue 4, August 2025.
Abstract The multi‐gene panel is the most utilized genetic test to evaluate for germline cancer predisposition syndromes. However, the rate of change of commercial multigene panels is not well understood, and its value as a standalone test has also not been investigated.

Aging and Altered Gravity: A Cellular Perspective

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 13, 15 July 2025.
We propose that, unlike biological aging, where Primary hallmarks initiate damage, spaceflight may trigger a feedback loop between Antagonistic and Integrative hallmarks, driving accelerated aging. Returning to 1 g restores proper signaling and breaks the cycle.

Vasopressin‐Sensitive Aqp2 Regulation Mediated by the TAZ‐NR4A1 Axis in Renal Collecting Duct Cells

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 13, 15 July 2025.
The TAZ‐NR4A1 axis was identified as a critical regulator of vasopressin‐induced AQP2 expression, essential for water homeostasis. Conditional TAZ‐knockout mice showed polyuria and a significant decrease in AQP2 expression in collecting ducts. In mpkCCDc11 cells, TAZ knockdown significantly impaired vasopressin‐mediated AQP2 expression independently of

Genetic and Functional Dissection of the NFKB2 Gene: Implications for Milk Fatty Acid Biosynthesis in Dairy Cattle

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 13, 15 July 2025.
In this study, NFKB2 was verified to have a significant genetic effect on FAs. Knockdown of NFKB2 significantly reduced triglyceride concentrations, lipid droplet secretion, and the expressions of 17 key genes involved in lipid metabolism pathways, including PI3K‐AKT, NF‐κB, MAPK, adipocytokine, PPAR, and AMPK signaling pathways.
