Pure Molecular Inorganic Rings: Mixed Group 14/15 Metallacycles

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 4, 22 January 2026.
The synthesis and characterization of novel mixed group 14/15 metallacycles incorporating a transition‐metal is described. All of the presented compounds were obtained by reduction of an organometallic Mo2E2 tetrahedrane using Si(I) and Ge(I) compounds, respectively.

European Identity and the Euro in Kosovo

open access: yesNations and Nationalism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT How can nationalist leaders stand for political independence and monetary sovereignty while embracing the use of a supra‐national currency? At first sight, unilateral euroisation—the de facto adoption of the euro instead of a national currency—seems inconsistent with the goals of nationalism and independence.

A review of the ever increasing threat to European crayfish from non-indigenous crayfish species [PDF]

open access: yesKnowledge and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems, 2009
Non-indigenous crayfish species (NICS) in Europe now outnumber indigenous crayfish species (ICS) 2:1, and it has been predicted that they may dominate completely in the next few decades unless something is done to protect them. Of the ten NICS introduced

Cyclacene Stability: The Interplay of Strain, Aromaticity and Force Coupling

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 5, 15 February 2026.
Cyclacene stability arises from a balance between structural strain and aromaticity. Strain‐corrected heats of hydrogenation reveal that cyclacene thermodynamic stability is governed primarily by ring strain rather than aromatic stabilization.

Significance of Development Stage Theory for Explaining Industrial Growth Pattern between Asian NICs and Selected Advanced Economies [PDF]

open access: yes
The East Asian miracle was real. Prior to the 1997 economic and currency crises, Asian NICs — Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan — achieved remarkable annual GDP growth. In these countries the overall economic performance was significantly determined

A Survey on Handover Management in Mobility Architectures

open access: yes, 2015
This work presents a comprehensive and structured taxonomy of available techniques for managing the handover process in mobility architectures. Representative works from the existing literature have been divided into appropriate categories, based on ...

Bolometric correction and spectral energy distribution of cool stars in Galactic clusters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We have investigated the relevant trend of the bolometric correction (BC) at the cool-temperature regime of red giant stars and its possible dependence on stellar metallicity.

Oxidation of [3]naphthylenes to cations and dications converts local paratropicity into global diatropicity

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry
Oxidized states of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are of importance as they represent charged conductive species in organic semiconductor substrates. In this work, we investigated the properties of radical cations and dications of linear and angular [3]

Sensitivity study of energy transfer between mesoscale eddies and wind-induced near-inertial oscillations [PDF]

open access: yesOcean Science
Analyses of current observations and numerical simulations at two moorings in the northern South China Sea reveal the transfer of near-inertial energy between the background currents associated with mesoscale eddies and near-inertial currents (NICs).

Towards Linking Four Emerging Paradigms in Economic Theory—Regulationist, Institutionalist, Post-modernist, and Post-development [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper is an epistemological attempt to synthesise four emerging paradigms in economic theory. These paradigms are the regulationist, the institutionalist, the post-modernist, and the post-development. Arguably, these are paradigms rather than models
