Hydrogen-bonded structures of the isomeric compounds of phthalazine with 3-chloro-2-nitrobenzoic acid, 4-chloro-2-nitrobenzoic acid and 4-chloro-3-nitrobenzoic acid

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2011
The structures of three isomeric compounds, C(7)H(4)ClNO(4)·C(8)H(6)N(2), of phthalazine with chloro- and nitro-substituted benzoic acid, namely, 3-chloro-2-nitrobenzoic acid-phthalazine (1/1), (I), 4-chloro-2-nitrobenzoic acid-phthalazine (1/1), (II), and 4-chloro-3-nitrobenzoic acid-phthalazine (1/1), (III), have been determined at 190 K.

Preparation and properties of yttrium, lanthanum and lanthanideo-nitrobenzoates

Monatshefte fr Chemie Chemical Monthly, 1987
The conditions of the formation of yttrium, lanthanum and lanthanideo-nitrobenzoates were studied and their quantitative composition and solubilities in water at 298 K were determined (their solubilities are of the order of 10−2 mol dm−3). The IR and X-ray spectra for the obtained complexes and the dehydrated rare earth elemento-nitrobenzoates were ...

STUDIES ON THE METABOLISM OF p-NITROBENZOIC ACID

Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1958
Para-nitrobenzoic acid may serve as an oxidizable substrate in addition to other metabolic functions in microorganisms. A strain of Pseudomonas fluorescens is capable of using this compound as a sole source of organic carbon and nitrogen for aerobic growth.
