Analysis of multiple bacterial species and antibiotic classes reveals large variation in the association between seasonal antibiotic use and resistance.

open access: yesPLoS Biology, 2022
Understanding how antibiotic use drives resistance is crucial for guiding effective strategies to limit the spread of resistance, but the use-resistance relationship across pathogens and antibiotics remains unclear.

Synthesis, Antitubercular Activity, and Computational Characterization of Novel Phenylpyrazole‐Isoniazid Derivatives

open access: yesAdvances in Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Six new phenyl‐1H‐pyrazole‐carbaldehyde isonicotinylhydrazone derivatives 1-10 were synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic (FT‐IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR) techniques and electrospray ionization–mass spectrometry (ESI–MS). Homonuclear data from 2D‐NMR (1H‐1H NOESY) revealed that 3 and 5 adopt the transE isomeric form.

Isolation of a Protease‐Producing Microbacterium From the Intestinal Tract of Ruditapes philippinarum and Its Probiotic Effects

open access: yesAquaculture Nutrition, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Aquatic probiotics are generally recognized as safe and nontoxic live bacterial preparations, primarily sourced from the culturing environment or directly from aquatic organisms. Upon entering the aquatic environment, these probiotics are capable of colonizing both the surface and internal compartments of aquatic organisms, thereby enhancing their ...

Synthesis, Structural Characterization, and DFT Studies of Fe(III), Co(II), and Ni(II) Mixed‐Ligand Complexes With Albendazole and Nifuroxazide With Molecular Docking Against Respiratory Pathogen Targets

open access: yesBioinorganic Chemistry and Applications, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In this study, the structural, electronic, and biological characteristics of newly synthesized transition metal complexes FeABNF, CoABNF, and NiABNF, resulting from the chelation compounds albendazole (AB) and nifuroxazide (NF), were studied. The synthesized compounds were found to have excellent yields with high percentage yields (∼80%).
