Natural occurrence of semicarbazide in heather honey
Food Additives & Contaminants: Part ARegulatory bodies aim to protect consumers from harmful substances. The use of certain antibiotics is prohibited in food-producing animals in the EU due to their potential detrimental effects on humans. Among these are nitrofuran antibiotics, which degrade rapidly so that their metabolites are used as markers in screening for their illegal use. The use

Acidity of polyurethane semicarbazide in dimethylformamide
Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1989Abstract Acidity in dimethylformamide of two modifications of polyurethane semicarbazide and of corresponding model compounds was studied by potentiometric titration. The characteristic dissociation constants p K 0 of the polymers were calculated. The temperature dependence of p K 0 was measured between 298 and 358 K.

Teratogenic Effect of Semicarbazide in Wistar Rats
Biology of the Neonate, 2009Five groups of pregnant Wistar rats were injected intraperitoneally with a single dose of semicarbazide (SC) on day 5, 7, 10, 13, or 15 of gestation. The lots in each group received either 50, 75, 100 or 150 mg/kg SC. A sixth group received 17 mg/kg of the drug during the entire course of pregnancy.

[Formaldehyde metabolism in semicarbazide intoxication].
Ukrains'kyi biokhimichnyi zhurnal (1999 ), 2011Subchronic administration of semicarbazide in the experiment with the rats was used to reduce the formaldehyde level in the organism in order to reveal the interaction between formaldehyde metabolism and biochemical parameters, which define the oxidant-antioxidant system condition and NO metabolism. It has been found that under semicarbazide impact the
