Fluorophore–Nitroxide (Profluorescent Nitroxide) Probes
2020Over the last decades, scientists have faced growing requirements in novel methods of fast and sensitive analysis of antioxidant status of biological systems, redox probing and radical trapping, biological molecules’ analysis, investigation of molecular dynamics, and convenient models for studies of photophysical and photochemical processes.

Identification of Nitroxide Radioprotectors
Radiation Research, 1992The nitroxide Tempol, a stable free radical, has recently been shown to protect mammalian cells against several forms of oxidative stress including radiation-induced cytotoxicity. To extend this observation, six additional water-soluble nitroxides with different structural features were evaluated for potential radioprotective properties using Chinese ...

A Profluorescent Azaphenalene Nitroxide for Nitroxide-Mediated Polymerization1
Australian Journal of Chemistry, 2011A novel nitroxide-mediated polymerization (NMP) control agent; 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-2,3-dihydro-2-azaphenalen-2-yloxyl (TMAO), was used in the free-radical polymerization of styrene. The conversion of styrene during NMP was studied using FT-Raman spectroscopy and the effectiveness of TMAO as a NMP control agent was assessed by GPC analysis.

Alkylpentacyanocobalt nitroxide and primary alkyl nitroxide radical-anions
Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1972Monomeric aliphatic nitroso-compounds react with {Co(CN)5}3– in aqueous/alcoholic solutions to give radical-anions {(NC)5Co–N(Alk)–O·}3– and/or (Alk–N–O–) which can be characterised by e.s.r.; they have lifetimes of the order of minutes.

Nitroxide-mediated radical processes
The Chemical Record, 2005In the present short review article recent achievements in nitroxide-mediated radical polymerizations are presented. The basic concept behind these reactions, which is the Persistent Radical Effect (PRE), will be briefly explained. The effect of the nitroxide structure on the polymerization process will be discussed.

Superoxide Reaction with Nitroxides
Free Radical Research Communications, 1990Stable, free radical nitroxides are commonly used ESR spectroscopy tools. However, it has recently been found that ESR observable signal from 5-membered ring spin-adducts or stable label nitroxides is lost or diminished by reaction with superoxide. A similar radical-radical annihilation was not found for six membered ring nitroxide radicals. To discern

Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals Science and Technology. Section A. Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals, 1995
Abstract We have determined, by polarized neutron diffraction, the spin density of two nitrophenyl nitroxides: the para-nitrophenyl nitronyl nitroxide (p-NPNN), which is a ferromagnet at low temperature, and the meta-nitrophenyl imino nitroxide (m-NPIN), which exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling.
